Nokia 808 cell phone PureView be the subject of conversation related to the resolution 41-megapixel camera. But according to Sony, the camera technology is not new alias obsolete.
Tilted toward the camera sound on Nokia 808 41MP PureView not only come from Sony. Previously, Olympus and Nikon camera vendor says the same thing and they claimed not to be afraid of the possibility of this Nokia camera market eroded their cameras.
According to Sony, they have been using the same pixel magnification technology as the Nokia 808 PureView about a year ago. Sony were assessing the application of such technology on a phone is not worth doing.
"The technology is not new, it has been done in our camera around this year. As such, the technology is not very prominent," said Paul Genge, Sony UK Category Development Manager who quoted from Pocket Link, Thursday (03/15/2012).
But Paul recognizes Nokia make a breakthrough by incorporating these technologies in mobile devices. "But in the mobile sector, it is a breakthrough. So I can understand why the handset is getting so much attention," he added.
But Paul believes now is not right time to release a phone with such a monster camera PureView 808. He said the technology had not yet become a reasonable solution for sale.
