Many vendors are competing to develop a smartphone with a variety of screen sizes, there is a small to large. And what size is ideal for users of these smart devices?
A survey conducted by Strategy Analytics revealed that the right size for smartphone users are between 4 to 4.5 inch. More than 90% who participated this survey feel comfortable using the screen size.
"90% of smartphone owners in the survey choose a smartphone with a screen larger than their current devices," said Paul Brown, Director of Strategy Analytics User Experience, as quoted from Phone Arena, Friday (16/03/2012).
This trend is driven web browsing capabilities, improved mobile activities, as well as the experience of viewing videos and playing games on mobile phones. However, not everyone chose the exact same size. The women tend to have a slightly smaller device.
According to Brown, in 2007, when the iPhone was launched, 3.5-inch screen looks slightly large. And now, all that changed when the phone comes with a 4.7 inch reach even the size. It's just a matter of habit.
"Other factors also matter thickness. Many still expect the phone easy to carry," he added. The survey was itself followed by koresponsen of the United States and Canada. But not disclosed how many people are involved in this survey.
