According to sources in the industry as reported by DigiTimes, reportedly, Amazon plans to launch two new tablet PC, model 7-inch and 10-inch models, in the second half of 2012, a move that could be imagined in the future development of e-book reader.

Amazon itself is rumored to have sold 3.98 million tablet PCs Kindle Fire in the fourth quarter of 2011, with the acquisition of 14% market share globally as well as the number two spot in the vendor rankings, according to market data.

The source also revealed, for the sale of a fairly strong Fire Kindle, Amazon has shifted its focus from e-book reader to a tablet PC, and plans to launch 10-inch models in the second half, not the 8.9-inch models as previously projected. This is where the rumor was eventually developed.
